Fear’s main job is to stop you from what you were created to do. And you were created to be amazing. The devil “comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10). Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly. God only makes wonderful creations, and you are part of those wonderful creations. Why would God only half-heartedly create something – that’s not in His character. I’ve experienced anxiety and fear, and I don’t want it to stop anyone from the awesome things they were created to do and experience. So here are a few things to remember when these things come at you.
If you believe in Jesus and have given him your life, you will be with him for the rest of eternity. Meaning, whatever comes against you, whatever trials and hardships you go through, none of that can stop you from enjoying eternity with Jesus. To enjoy this truth you must know what Jesus is like. One simple sentence: He is the most loving, joyful, peaceful, fun, creative man with the best personality in all of history. Plus he really really likes YOU. You’ll love being with him! Get an eternal perspective.
2. God works all things together for the good of those who love him
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good” (Romans 8:28). It’s in the bible; it’s true. Sometimes he is just building your character and steadfastness. It’s tough when you’re in it, but it’s glorious when you’re out on the other side. Keep holding onto God’s character and that He is for you.
3. You aren’t alone
God created the Church. You aren’t alone in your struggles and your sufferings. He gave us people to connect with and to live life with. He gave us people to help us and comfort us. God knows when you sit down and when you rise up. He knows every word on your tongue. He knows your inner life and thoughts. You can’t get away from Him. And He roots for you and cheers you on.
Like I always say… Just talk to Jesus and share your heart with people. It’s the simplicity of living life with God.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For eveyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
