The Future Will Be Fantastic

I absolutely love movies (if you couldn’t tell by my last few posts). I am so thankful for the gifts and mind that God has given me. I am incredibly blessed with the field that I am going into and the path that I am on. This is going to be an amazing journey, and I am convinced that there are wonderful things ahead. I can’t wait to share them with you.

The thing that I love about making films – well there are many things I love – but one of the biggest things is working with a group of people to create something new. I love bringing people together to experience something greater than words can explain. One of my goals for every film project that I do is to create an experience that even the people watching it can have this experience. I want to create something that people get so drawn in that it changes something inside of them. I want people to watch a movie and be so excited or moved to do something. I don’t want it to be just a movie that you walk away and say, “that was pretty good – it was entertaining”. I want them to have an experience and feel like they were part of something bigger than themselves. It probably sounds pretty abstract – I don’t know if I necessarily have the right words – but I know that there is something deeper and greater that can be created in the film world. I guess you’ll just have to believe me and wait until I show you in the future.

I was planning on just sharing a short sentence about jumping up and down about these making-of video blogs – but sometimes words just leap out of my mouth. Anyways…I just started following the blogs of the making of the new movie “The Hobbit”. Here’s the first one. I’m really looking forward to making films.
